Obituary for Wilhelmina "Minnie" Bernhardt

Wilhelmina was born February 18, 1928 in the Grayson district to Anna (nee Batza) and Joseph Wihlidal. Wilhelmina was united in marriage to John Bernhardt on November 8, 1950. They continued to farm in the area and were blessed with four children: Angeline, Delilah, Marie and Delores. John and Minnie farmed until retiring and moving into Melville, where they remained until failing health required they become residents of St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville, where Wilhelmina resided until her passing. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, listening to polka music, gardening and canning, as well as making perogies, cabbage rolls, strudel, poppy rolls, cinnamon buns and jams. She loved to have her grandchildren over and was always there for them.
