Obituary for William Arthur "Art" Lubachowski

William Arthur "Art" Lubachowski
“Forever In Our Hearts"

William Arthur Lubachowski, better known as Art, of Lemberg, SK, passed away to be with his "Lord and Saviour" on February 21,2015 at the Fort Qu'Appelle All Nations Healing Hospital.

Born September 10, 1928 in the town of Lemberg, Art was the only son of Jacob and Matilda (nee Kohlert) Lubachowski. He was baptized and confirmed by Pastor John Kroeger at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lemberg. After attending school in Lemberg, he worked for his Dad in the carpentry business, building numerous houses and other buildings in the town and surrounding area.

On October 28, 1950 Art was united in marriage to Eleanor Lutz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lemberg. He continued working for his dad until 1952, when he decided to try farming. Art and Eleanor sold their new home in town and purchased the Bill Laidman farm three miles north of Lemberg. Their marriage was blessed with two beloved sons, Jack and Gary. Art loved life on the farm far better than life in town, enjoying the quiet, peaceful surroundings so he decided to build his retirement home right there on the farm. He enjoyed having his family close by, especially his grandsons, granddaughter, and four great-grandsons.

On February 28,2014 Art entered the Lakeside Nursing Home and later transferred to Balcarres Nursing Home.

Art was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Matilda Lubachowski; father and mother-in-law, Mathias and Melitta Lutz; sister Emilie (Fred) Myer, Yorkton SK, sister Elsie (Herb) Stuermer, Winnipeg Man. and sister-in-law Cecilia (Harold) Graff Regina, SK. He leaves behind to mourn his passing: his beloved wife Eleanor of over 64 years; his two sons, Jack (Brenda) Lubachowski of Lemberg, SK and Gary (Gwenda) Lubachowski of Lemberg, SK; grandsons Jack (Jacqueline) Lubachowski of Melville, SK, James (Jill) Lubachowski of Lemberg, SK, Mathew Lubachowski of Lemberg, SK; granddaughter Jillian Lubachowski of Lemberg, SK; great-grandsons Colby and Noah Lubachowski of Melville, SK and Kaleb and Hudson Lubachowski of Lemberg, SK; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
