Obituary for
Marjorie May Hubred
Marjorie was born to Valentine and Barbara Hain, one of six children born and raised on the Hain Family Farm in the Waldron area. She attended the Waldron School where she obtained her grade ten education. On June 12, 1951, Marjorie was united in marriage to Edward Hubred. The family resided together on the Hubred Family homestead where they continued to farm until Ed's passing in 1988.
Marjorie enjoyed driving the tractor, volunteering with the U.C.W. League, and before losing her eyesight, knitting for nieces and nephews and later on, grandchildren. Marjorie had a great love for travelling and did so extensively. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and the country way of life. She enjoyed animated political debates and a good game of cards. She also loved to dance her polkas and waltzes.
At the age of 75, Marjorie agreed to spend her winters at Queen Elizabeth Court in Yorkton where she would be closer to her son and his family. Although she seemed to enjoy her time there, the farm was her home and she continued to spend the warmer months in Waldron where she could watch the farming taking place.
Marjorie’s most prized passion was her love of family. Sadly, she was predeceased by not only her husband and parents, but also by all of her siblings as well as two great-nephews and one great-niece. She leaves to mourn her passing one son, Garnet (Lorraine) Hubred, two grandchildren, Shawna (Ryan) Hutzul, Sheldon (Erin Horvath) and four great-grandchildren, Ewen Hutzul, Odin Hutzul, Drew Hubred and Joel Hubred as well as cherished nieces and nephews.
