Mary Elizabeth Wozniak (Saxon)
Mary Wozniak passed away suddenly on June l2, 2015 in the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, with her family by her side.
Mary Elizabeth Saxon was born on October 13, 1932 in Rockford, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary Saxon, and her brothers Steve and Frank Saxon. Mary has two children, Debbie (Ron) Young, and David (Mel) Wozniak. Also left to cherish her memory is her three grandchildren Dean (Chantelle) Young, Dawn (Drew) Ross, and Ryan Young. Mary is also survived by her four great-grandchildren Austin, Shaylyn and Kaizer Young, and Eberle Ross.
Mary lived in Rockford and went to Stony Acres School. From there she moved to Cana, with her parents and brothers. She worked in the Canora Hospital and the Cameo Restaurant in Melville, where she met Bernard Wozniak. Mary and Bernard were married at St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church on October 21, 1958, and they lived on the family farm. They worked hard side by side on the farm, while raising two children, Debbie and David. The two moved left the farm on October 31, 1997 and moved to Yorkton.
Mary enjoyed various activities including listening to old time music, playing cards, having coffee with friends, gardening, dancing, and fishing.
Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
