Obituary for Lyndon "Tuk" Schick

Lyndon "Tuk" Schick
Tuk Schick, beloved husband of Sherri, passed away July 18, 2016 at the young age of 61 years.

He was born December 31, 1954 in Melville, SK to Charlie and Mildred Schick. He was raised in Duff, where he went to school until Grade 9. He graduated from the Melville Comprehensive High School.

Tuk farmed (self-described as an “Agricultural Specialist”) in the Lorlie area alongside his father and brother, all while working as a conductor on the railroad. Tuk and Sherri were wed on October 26, 1974 and settled in Melville. Tuk was devoted to his family, and he would often travel to Saskatoon and Calgary to visit his children and grandchildren. These times shared with his family were the most joyous times of his life.

Tuk had a love of sports and friends. These two were often enjoyed together. Tuk was a back catcher for the Duff Dodgers fastball team. He also enjoyed playing hockey with the Moneymen, curling and golfing. His friendships were dear to him. Whenever someone was in need, Tuk was there to lend a helping hand.

Tuk was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Mildred Schick and brother Morley. He leaves to miss him dearly and cherish his memory - his wife Sherri, four children and two grandchildren, Kendra (Chad) Magus and children Esme and Wynn of Calgary AB; Kirsten Schick of Melville SK; Jade (Minji) Schick of Calgary AB; Nevin (Karilyn) Schick of Calgary AB; his brother Wade Schick of Saskatoon SK; and all the aunts, uncles and cousins, and the multitudes of lives he touched.
